AU Hotel's Puerto Rico Benefit Will Feature Singer Noemí de Silva 2017-11-2

Noemí was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, a suburb of the capital, San Juan. She said she grew up in a musical home where her mother enjoyed singing, and her father played guitar. She said she lived in Arecibo, PR until she was 6, when her family moved to upstate New York, but she still has many friends and family members on the island. She said the songs she’ll perform were familiar tunes in her home growing up.
Tickets are $125, $100 of which is said to go toward the recovery efforts in Puerto Rico. Below is from the event's Eventbrite page where you can buy tickets.

The Hotel at Auburn University is hosting a pop-up fundraiser on Nov. 2 to benefit the ¡ADELANTE! Initiative for Puerto Rico. The event will feature culinary fare at Chef Stations with Chef Miguel Figueroa, Chef Leo Maurelli, Chef Brandon Burleson, Chef Fernando Justiniano, Chef David Bancroft, Chef Caleb Fisher, Chef Robbie Nicolaisen and desserts by Mandy Figueroa.
This pop-up fundraiser, held inside A·T Ariccia Trattoria, benefits ¡ADELANTE!, an initiative begun by 15-year-old Ricardo Kury Calderon. Ricardo was inspired to help the people of Puerto Rico after the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria on Sept. 20.
