Trio with Worldwide Reputation Performing Tonight (3/28/12) in Auburn

Performing tonight at AU's Goodwin Hall at 7:30 PM will be the Newstead Trio. This is the third and final presentation by the Auburn Chamber Music Society ^MAL for this season (AU event page).

There's lots of great comments on the reviews page of the trio's effective and up-to-date website, and some very, very good performances on video. Also, after you listen to the performance, the group has several recordings for sale on the site.

I embedded a video here (without permission, but thanks to YouTube user nixonmedia) of the 19-years-and-running group performing a different Beethoven trio (Op. 11 in B-flat major) from the one they'll perform tonight (Op. 1 in C-minor). They'll also do Brahms and Mozart. It should be good.
