“Chameleon” is a unique display of stylistic saxophone playing featuring saxophonist Grant Larson performing refined classical French compositions, edgier American works, and modern jazz. Joining Larson is Georgia College faculty pianist Owen Lovell, along with students Walter Cornwell on piano and Katie Moen on bass.

Audiences will be treated to Rodney Rogers’s soaring Lessons of the Sky Alfred Desenclos’s intricate Prelude, Cadence et Finale, William Albright’s raw and emotional Sonata for Alto Saxophone, and Larson’s original new sounds Alpenglow and Walking Winiger.

Larson is soprano saxophonist with the Chautauqua Saxophone Quartet, and a jazz recording artist. He currently serves as saxophone/jazz practicing artist at Denver School of the Arts and wind ensemble conductor for the Colorado Youth Symphony Orchestra. Lovell has released two classical recordings and appeared as a soloist and critically-acclaimed chamber musician in sixteen states and four countries.
