ATL/ZA Trumpeter Darren English Will Play 2 Nights at Piccolo 2017-Sept-22, 23

Darren English (website) is a South African expatriate based in Atlanta who occasionally plays in Auburn. The venue is Piccolo, the lounge at the Auburn University Hotel and Conference Center, which hosts jazz every Friday and Saturday except on weekends when the football team is playing in town.

He'll return there this weekend for both nights, September 22 and 23, 8-11 pm, no cover. Around here, jazz trumpet players are pretty rare, especially ones doing their own gigs. Take advantage of [the opportunity to hear] a talented player with a strong concept. Below is from English. -PMc
