[UPDATED] Week 3, April 2018 Music Events
Here are the events from my top-25 list for the third Monday-to-Sunday week of April, 2018. Events for the rest of the current week, as of post time, are at this link. As usual, my involvement is indicated by a blue highlight. I coordinate A Little Lunch Music, the noontime series this week featuring eight AU student pianists of Jeremy Samolesky.
My top pick is the Old 280 Boogie in Waverly, but it has some stiff competition. There's Verdi's Requiem in Columbus featuring Auburn, Columbus and LaGrange singers with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra; violinist Nicola Benedetti with the Atlanta Symphony; and Emma Beth Fisher's junior recital at Goodwin Hall (seriously). -PMc
