30+ Year Recording Artist Dirk Hamilton Sings for Sundilla

The video at right (technical problems: here's the link) is of Dirk Hamilton, who will play the Auburn Unitarian Universalist Fellowship tonight (Friday, 4/5) as part of the Sundilla Acoustic Concert Series. Below is from the series' president, Bailey Jones. He writes that Hamilton is a big star in Italy (I know, right?), but perhaps is not as well-known here maybe "because he's so hard to pigeon-hole; his style is a mixture of Americana, folk-rock, roots, indie-rock and blues." Hamilton's voice is deeply present, velvet-wrapped gravel. The songwriting is very strong. Check him out.

The Sundilla Concert Series continues the tradition of bringing world-renowned performers to Auburn when Dirk Hamilton takes the stage on Friday, April 5. Some might see the name Dirk Hamilton and think "Who?". But just because Dirk Hamilton isn't famous in east-central Alabama doesn't mean that they don't know him, and his music, in other places.
