School Fundraiser Will Feature Int'l Recording Artists 2017-Oct-29

The Strum & Strive Music Festival, a Pick Elementary School fundraiser scheduled to be at Pick (1320 N College St, Auburn) on Sunday, Oct. 8, is now rescheduled for Sunday, Oct. 29, I think due to Tropical Storm Nate. The show will be from 2-5 pm and will feature Jule Vera (website - MAL)...

[UPDATE 2017-Oct-12: I don't have official word from the organizers, but it looks like the Jule Vera presence may be an acoustic set with a smaller version of the band.]

...and Martha's Trouble (website), both international (because Canada) touring artists with strong connections to this community, and The D'Zyre Band (Facebook page), a regional event/club band self-described as "an eclectic mix of Motown, Soul, Blues, Jazz, Rock, and Funk."

Pick Elementary School is continuing the tradition of educating future leaders for the Auburn community. The success we have had is only possible because of partnerships we have with other leaders like you. Pick's Parent Teacher Organization's 2016-17 fundraiser generated over $20,000 to enhance the quality of education and experiences our students gain.

Our school will be striving for another year of excellence with the 2017-18 fundraising event, our first annual Strum & Strive Music Festival, to be held on Pick's campus Sunday, October 29, 2017. This exciting family event will be open to the community. 

We hope to see everyone Sunday, October 29 from 2-5! There will be music, food trucks, activities, giveaways, special guest appearances, and other fun activities!
