International Guitarist Next on Museum's Guitar Miniseries 2017-Oct-19

The conversationally poetic Italian guitarist Edoardo Catemario (www.catemario.com) will perform at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art for its A Little Lunch Music series this Thursday, Oct. 19 (event page). As usual, this is a free concert, noon to 1:00 pm. I coordinate the series, if you must know. I interviewed Catemario a couple weeks back and wrote an article for the museum's website, linked below. He used the expression, "sentimental tension," which I hope to name a piece of music someday.

A Little Lunch Music, 10/19/2017: Award-Winning Italian Classical Guitarist Will Perform

This is the second of three classical guitar concerts we'll have for the series this fall. First was Dan Kyzer (post) last week, who played beautifully, and third will be Kevin Manderville (no post yet) on Nov. 30. Catemario is a published pedagoge and a performer who cares very much about his audience and our experience with the music he presents. I expect he will enrich us and maybe even edify us.

Catemario will perform for the Emory Chamber Music Society on Friday, Oct. 20 (event page), which is what led to his performing here for the Auburn series. We will benefit from the Emory series again with pianist Vijay Venkatesh (www.vijay-venkatesh.com) in Auburn on Nov. 16.
